Inspiration
This painting features iconic Kansas City architecture and one of my favorite places to visit. I want viewers to see not only the beautiful built environment but also the nurturing home environment shared by the family within it.
Choosing fall as the overall season highlights the glowing ginkgo leaves blanketing the Nelson lawn while complementing the owls and their variegated metal leaf feathers. What makes this piece especially cute is that the baby owls are all white, and silver worked perfectly to capture their fluffy appearance. You can see dainty little baby feathers scattered around the nest, accented with touches of silver.

Artwork is an original metal leaf and watercolor painting created on sage heavy weight paper. The sage paper surface provides a smooth, stable foundation that enhances the luminous gilded accents.
Painting comes framed in a bronze metal finished frame with mat. Total painting size with frame is 12” x16”
