Inspiration
One of my favorite pieces of architecture in Kansas City is the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. As you can see, I’m obsessed with metallic surfaces, metal in general, and how light plays across them. So when I encountered this beautiful building clad in shimmering metal, of course I had to “gild” it in my imagination. Staying true to my animal-and-architecture series theme, I wanted to depict a stunning copper fox and its family—who also call Kansas City home.
Artwork Details
Artwork is an original metal leaf and watercolor painting created on sage heavy weight paper. The sage paper surface provides a smooth, stable foundation that enhances the luminous gilded accents.
Painting comes framed in a bronze metal finished frame with mat. Total painting size with frame is 12” x16”
The artwork is titled and signed on the front and will arrive professionally wired and ready to hang.
